Creating a more humane environment for animals
For thousands of stray dogs and cats, access to timely veterinary care can mean the difference between prolonged suffering and recovery. With support from Bajaj Auto Foundation, individual donors and other CSR partners, the Blue Cross Society of Pune (BCS) provides accessible veterinary care through free OPD services, affordable IPD treatment, sterilisation, vaccination and long-term rehabilitation.
Serving Pune since 1994, BCS has grown from a pioneer of Animal Birth Control initiatives into a trusted veterinary care institution. Through its veterinary hospital in Mundhwa, Pune, BCS treats and protects hundreds of stray dogs and cats, including Indian mixed-breed pet dogs and cats, every month - creating measurable impact for animal welfare, public health and safer human-animal coexistence.

Works with volunteers, animal caregivers, donors and communities to identify stray dogs and cats needing medical help, support vaccination drives, promote responsible treatment and build awareness around rabies prevention, sterilisation and timely medical intervention.
Provides free sterilisation for dogs together with anti-rabies and 9-in-1 vaccinations, and low-cost sterilisation for cats with post-operative care and anti-rabies and Tricat vaccinations.
