Creating a more humane environment for animals
Bajaj Auto Foundation supports Canine Control & Care (CCC) in building a humane, scientific and scalable model for stray dog population management. CCC addresses the issue at its source through sustained Animal Birth Control (ABC), anti-rabies vaccination, low-stress handling and structured post-operative care. This approach improves dog welfare, strengthens rabies prevention and supports safer, more stable communities. With more than 1,30,000 stray dogs sterilised and vaccinated, CCC has built deep field capability across Pune, PCMC and select projects beyond its home geography, demonstrating how disciplined and compassionate ABC can deliver population-level impact for stray dogs.

Combines veterinary assessment, sterilisation, anti-rabies vaccination, post-operative care and extended recovery support when needed, ensuring every dog receives safe, dignified and clinically supervised care through the ABC cycle.

Builds dependable ABC capacity through dedicated centres, trained teams, kennels, equipment and standardised protocols, creating the operational discipline required for safe, efficient and repeatable programmes at scale.
Works with volunteers, feeders and local communities to identify dogs, coordinate humane catching and same-location release, support reporting and build informed, responsible coexistence between people and stray dogs.
Implements sustained, high-coverage sterilisation and anti-rabies & 9-in-1 vaccination under structured Animal Birth Control protocols, combining humane handling, veterinary discipline and field tracking to reduce population growth over time.
