History

Established in 2018, RRBCEA was envisioned as an interdisciplinary space where nature, art, culture, and community come together to make environmental learning engaging and accessible. Located within the Empress Botanical Garden, the centre was created to encourage deeper environmental awareness through experiential learning, creative expression, and public participation.

Future plans

RRBCEA aims to further expand its environmental education, citizen science, and community outreach initiatives through new collaborations, research-based projects, and interactive learning experiences. The initiative also plans to strengthen biodiversity documentation, public engagement programs, and environmental awareness activities that encourage long-term ecological responsibility.
